I just had to look on the Mytwinn website...there I saw... 40% off all Mytwinn cuddly sister and brother items-dolls are $12 (originally $20), pink dress is $7 (originally $12), etc. (Sale Ends Tomorrow)

So...now another of my dolls will have a little sister...or cousin...or something. I just ordered Madeliene (she's the only sister with long hair right now and I like styling dolls' hair)... and a pink dres for her.

I keep wanting to save my money and I really should. Maybe I should hide my card until I get my next check in a couple weeks...then hide it again until November... Then I could possibly save my money instead of spending it [img]confused.gif[/img]

The most amusing bit of advice I ever heard on the topic was to get rid of all your credit cards but one, and keep that one for emergency--encased in ice, in your freezer. Then you have to wait several hours for it to thaw before you can use it. The idea is that in that time, the urge to buy would've passed!

Not sure if it would work (definitely wouldn't work unless you wrapped your card in paper and then a plastic bag, so you couldn't see the numbers). But it does make a nice visual image!

Hmmm, that's interesting. i'd be afraid it would ruin the card but it might not. Luckily all I use is my debit card...but it's my workstudy money I spend and I really should save more of it b/c I'll have a lot to pay back after i graduate. Plus I want a good quality digital camera (up to $130 in price) and a tripod for my camcorder and I'm buying my mom Nellie for Christmas b/c she spent a lot on handmade clothes for my dolls that she bought from to ladies at a festival. Plus I want an AG horse, bed and Josefina. So... I took a piece of paper and wrote 1-70 on it. I can't buy any doll things until Dec. 3rd (70 days from tomorrow)- I also want a couple more AG things to buy my dolls for Chrismtas [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/devil.gif[/img] ).

ETA: Rachel is cute; I wish I had known about them when she was available.

http://finance.sympatico.msn.ca/cont...dit/P33640.asp is an MSN site that says it's OK to literally freeze your cards, as long as you don't microwave them to thaw them. I don't know if that's true or it's just an urban legend, though.
